       Mode of Technology Transfer

Absolute Transparency and Confidentiality between the transferor and transferee is the key element for any successful Technology Transfer. Lumenteck exercises utmost care in all the managerial, legal, technical, financial and infrastructural aspects of transfer of technology to ensure the smooth implementation of the same. As a total solution provider in all facets of transfer of technology, Lumenteck works in tandem with expert consultants from different wakes of the industry. Thus optimum results are created, as the best interest of all the participants involved are protected. This policy of Lumenteck is strictly imposed for all technologies/products presented by or through Lumenteck.

Electronic Ballast Technology

The Proposal & Patent Details

We are proposing the outright sale/transfer of this highly cost effective Electronic Ballast Technology, as an exclusive transaction to a single international corporate business house, who can exploit the full global market potential of such a kind of pioneering technology. Necessary application for the grant of patent for the aforesaid technology has been filed with the Indian Patent Office with Application No 472/CHE/2005 dated 25-4-2005. Exhaustive Prior art search has been made by our Attorneys with regard to this invention, before the filing of the patent application. The period of 'pre-grant opposition' for our patent application has successfully expired on 28th April 2006.

Our Technology Development Team

Our Technology Development Team comprises of only two individuals, who are indeed the promoters of Lumenteck. Absolute confidentiality and secrecy has been maintained by the team regarding the technology developed, and no details of the circuit or technology of the product has been exposed in the market. This protects the total interest of the Technology Development Team and the actual buyer of technology. We have been working on this project for the last few years, and the absolute know-how, possession and ownership of the technology developed vests completely with us in all respects.

This in-house project has been self financed by Lumenteck from its inception onwards, and no funding has been accepted by us from any external sources; either directly or indirectly. There has been no public disclosure regarding any aspects of this technology, nor has any technical input or contribution been availed by our Technology Development Team in any manner whatsoever during the course of this technology development, from any consultants or external bodies.

We are presenting Electronic Ballast technology (in the complete prototype form) three versions; Version 1, 2 and 3, with the same model number and serial number (For details, refer the link "Electronic Ballast Test Reports"; Version 1, 2 and 3). Even though the circuits of the three versions have a lot of similarity, there are few marked differences in the circuitry between Version 1, 2 and 3, and as a result performance results do vary between the three versions as specified in the "Electronic Ballast test reports" and "Electronic Ballast performance specifications". All the three versions comply with the standards as specified, and as the circuits are similar, they would only be handed over together to a single corporate buyer of technology.

Mode of Technology Transfer

All the essential details of the technology including the performance specifications, copies of test reports as issued by internationally approved testing and certifying centers and their explanations, the list of components used in the prototype models of both versions and their cost, the details of the technology's adherence to the standards , the products international marketability etc are given in the relevant links. we would be clarifying all the queries raised by interested parties with respect to the same, without disclosing the circuitry details.

Once all queries of the proposed buyer is clarified and after reaching a prima-facie consensus with them, we would be willing to demonstrate before the intended buyer of the technology (with witness testing facility), all the tests as conducted by us as per said standards, and any other tests which the buyer feels is critical and important to gauge the performance capabilities of the technology. Such testing can be done in mutually agreeable premises with calibrated testing equipments (preferably in testing laboratories themselves), and the proposed buyer can use calibrated measuring equipments of his own; if so desired.

Terms of Technology Transfer

Technology Development Team would be entering into all the essential contracts, non-disclosure agreements and Transfer of Technology agreements with the buyer of technology, as applicable and as required, so as to protect the best interest of both the parties. An agreement entered into between Technology Development Team and the actual buyer of the technology would be binding with total accountability on the Technology Developed, in all respects of confidentiality, secrecy and quality parameters.

From the point of view of buyer of technology; the developers of the technology themselves are the sellers of the technology, and are the parties to the contract, and this, ensures total accountability and confidentiality. Since the technology is bought outright by the buyer, the buyer becomes the absolute owner of the technology, and this gives them carte blanche freedom for modification, innovations, and planning and executing marketing programs on a global level.

On reaching such a stage where the proposed buyer is fully convinced regarding the merit's of the technology, the final steps of physical Transfer of Technology can be finalised on mutual consensus.

Lumenteck echoes the belief's of John Ruskin "Quality is never an accident; there must be the will to produce a superior thing".
